Mapping the scientific structure of organization and management of enterprises using complex networks

Understanding the scientific and social structure of a discipline is fundamental aspect for evaluation processes, identifying trends niches, balancing trade-off between exploitation exploration in research. In present contribution, production doctoral theses used as proxy to analyze knowledge area business organization Spain. To that end, complex networks approach selected, two different are built: (i) network co-participation thesis examining committees supervision, (ii) bipartite descriptors. The former has modular partially explained by thematic specialization subdisciplines. latter serves assess interdisciplinary discipline, it enables characterization affinity levels fields, research poles clusters. Our results have implications formal definition related fields.
